Call for Abstracts

Abstract submission is now closed

Thank you to all authors who have submitted an abstract for the 22nd Australian and New Zealand Prevocational Medical Education Forum 2017. We are overwhelmed by the quality and diversity of submissions. Extensions for abstract submissions will be provided on a case by case basis. If you require an extension please contact the Forum Managers via email at prevocationalforum2017@arinex.com.au.

Presentation Types

Please note that time limits for speakers will be strictly enforced so that there is adequate time for discussion and for other speakers in the session to have their full allocated time.

  • Workshops – half or full day
  • Colloquium / Case Discussion and Solutions – 30 or 60 minutes
  • Abstract Oral Presentations (Research, Program Development or Innovation)  – 15 minutes 
  • Rapid 5 Minute Orals – 5 minutes
  • Electronic Poster Presentation

 

Abstract Submission Key Dates

  • Abstract submissions open – 16 May 2017
  • Abstract submissions close – 4 July 2017
  • Author notification – 9 August 2017

Summary of Abstract Submission Instructions

Step 1: Read the Abstract Submission Guidelines for the submission of abstracts to ensure you understand the abstract submission process and requirements.

Step 2: Download the relevant Abstract Template document from the list below and insert/add your abstract text. Save as a .doc or .docx document to your computer.

Step 3: Write your abstract submission using the instructions on how to prepare and format your submission. Abstracts must not exceed the 300 word limit.

Step 4: Follow the step-by-step instructions on submitting your abstract via the eOrganiser submission portal. Click the Submit Now button below to access the submission portal:

 

Abstract Template

Authors must prepare their abstract in advance using the below templates, authors are to select the template which corresponds to the selected presentation type. Authors can then upload the completed abstract via eOrganiser. The submission portal will generate a PDF of your abstract which includes the details entered into the system and the body of the uploaded abstract template document. If guidelines are not followed, your abstract may be declined.

Notification of Acceptance

Notification of acceptance will be sent via e-mail to the submitting author by Wednesday 9 August 2017. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Conference proceedings. The Forum Managers will not be held responsible for abstract submissions not received via the website or for submission errors caused by internet service outages, hardware or software delays, power outages or unforeseen events.

 

All abstracts must be submitted by 11.59pm AEST 4 July 2017
